Portland Adventure-Zone
Portland, Oregon is one of the most tourist rich targets in the U.S, and might be the most visited city in the North West. Portland is known for being a foody town, rich in literature and historically significant in the roots of America’s beginnings.

Portland is also the most reasonable hub from which to visit several national park venues such as Mt St Helens (not yet a national park), Mt Hood National Forest, Newberry National Volcanic Monument, Mt Rainier National Park, as well as many state and local outdoor attractions. In these parks one can experience some of the most absolutely remote camping, hiking, rock climbing and nature hikes in the world.
You want remote? Remember DB Cooper? That happened in the remote mountains of Oregon and Washington.
Many of the Oregon beach natural formations such as Haystack Rock and Cannon Beach are world famous photo opps.
Use the standard Adventure-Zone navigation drop-downs above to search through our ever growing list of Portland area Adventure-Loops. And, if you are a knowledgable adventurer who has insider information that might be a good idea for a new Adventeure-Loop in the Portland area, feel free to contribute via “comments”. We’ll be glad to use your information in a future post.
